Re: The Earth is Flat

I was just as the beach, giggling about these folks seeing the curve on the horizon as a disk edge. oh boy. The fracturing of public conversational channels allows more people to fall in the ditches, perhaps an unavoidable byproduct of the greater number of conversations.

Re: My New Neighbor

I got a surprise finding one living by a rarely used exterior door knob yesterday. Impressive creatures.

Re: Entropy

I worked on a recording project this weekend that has stretched into it's 6th year.....I should stop typing, you get the idea already...... Tracks recorded at 3 different studios on 3 incompatible DAW's at 3 different sample rates, all songs built out to an almost unrecognizable state from the origi...

Re: ExpressPCB Prepares for Solar Eclipse

We were 90%+ here, it was interesting how dark it DIDN'T get considering, though it was obvious. We had a 100% annular eclipse in 1984 that did go almost to twilight. I pulled out a couple of old home made pinhole cameras and robbed their more 'precision' lenses, but really the reverse binoculars tr...

Re: Entropy

Top load washer, electric dryer. The old washer was running fine, the dryer was eating or friction staining things. About a year ago the dryer power partially failed, turned out one internal wire had cooked itself into oblivion. It was at the spade connector coming off the barrier strip. Growing res...

It's totally like an estate sale. Sickly feeling is realizing a 'museum' is being broken up and auctioned. They really need more random framed things to sell. My favorite lot is #142 - TUBE AMP, CELLULAR PHONE, ELECTROSTAT SPEAKER (1958). Random.

Just replaced a washer/dryer set that ran 18-19 years. Let's see what the new ones bring.

Re: Entropy

This is really dumb. Tired, I guess. Finished bench testing a 3 channel preamp restoration job, response and noise is looking good. Client gives the go ahead on a small mod to each channel, install one of three and can't get a reading. Try a bunch of things and eventually put it back as it was, to b...

Re: Sennheiser MKH RF mic tuning info?

Ah, hadn't caught that 415 document. Thanks! Seems simple enough to try myself. I received this response from Sennheiser: The MKH105 we no longer work on as we do not have the parts for them. The MKH406 and the MKH435 can be sent in to be looked at. The technician will be able to send you an estimat...
