Re: Entropy

on topic my digital camera stopped taking pictures. This was given to me last century when it was obsoleted by a friends newer, better digital camera. The camera electronics is working, and the removable memory card works in my computer reader dongle, but the camera is not communicating with the me...

Re: control circuitry for THAT 2162

Hey everyone! I'm new to this forum and I have enjoyed reading everyone's wisdom here. So many cool circuits. I wanted to share a problem I ran into with a VCA i'm working on–There are so many wise mentors here, and I'm sure many of you have licked this problem before. I'm doing some work with the ...

Re: control circuitry for THAT 2162

it's after beer o'clock here in MS, so I will give you a better answer tomorrow, but VCAs generally provide a log gain law from a linear control Vc, so should not require diode break tricks for a decent audio fade.

Re: Entropy

I have been running in MS summer heat for decades so have a fair handle on what works for me. The sports/electrolyte replacement seems a little faddish... I recall simple salt pills from last century. I only get cramps pretty rarely and then from sweating excessively... My recent yard work apparentl...

Re: Entropy

The trunk is kind of hollow from ants eating the insides of tree, so I may start a fire inside the base of the trunk to finish it off, when I get down to it... Throw a bag of sugar on it and wait. The sugar will feed everything and it will breakdown faster. I am inclined to spray some more bug spra...

Re: Entropy

I got smacked the same way with a small twig a few years ago. You might want to get some of those leg cramp pills. They do help. they sell some electrolyte powders for athletes (I saw my carpenter using some). I don't recall the exact ratio but 80-90% of ringers solution is sodium. Cramps are one o...

Re: Entropy

Maybe I was subconsciously trying to prove my point about danger from small wood... but today I had a 1" branch spring up and hit me right next to my eye... didn't draw blood but got my attention. I was cutting small wood with compound lopper that cuts well without gasoline and causing global warmin...

Re: A Super-Simple LED Peak Flasher Audio Overload Clipping Indicator Using the TL431

I never fully embraced sims... Back in the day they were pretty crude, and you kind of had to know everything about the devices to use them, so little point when dealing with obscure components in unconventional configurations. You kind had to know the answers before asking the questions. I did code...

Read it thanx.... I knew some of that stuff but from different sources.

My dad was a ham and worked at RCA (not on their radio stuff AFAIK).
