Re: Loftech TS-1 Schematics

I will move that. Not something I do often so I have to remember.

What shall we call it?

Texas Fall

Thought it might be a good time to take a panoramic picture of the backyard during Texas' fall. http://www.waynekirkwood.com/images/jpg/2646_Gladiolus_Backyard_Pano_112717_2_1024.jpg We're on an escarpment. Our creek is about 300 feet south and 60 feet downhill. There are mostly Eastern Red Cedar, E...

Re: Loftech TS-1 Schematics

After soaking it in beer you might want to start a thread in the Design area of the forum. I'm liking this. Other than the analog front end for the measurement A/D and the balanced output there doesn't seem like much additional outboard circuitry would be required. Rather than a DPOT you might consi...

Re: THAT 202XL recreation

One thing slightly off-topic is that the distortion in the pre-trimmed 2180 has a lower tempco (of distortion change) than the externally-trimmed 2181. The 2181, of an equivalent grade, can be trimmed lower than the 2180 but the 2180 will out-perform it over temperature. If I were going to do a &quo...

Re: THAT 202XL recreation

Sent a letter to THAT and it turned out I don't need tempcos for 2181 any more because it's already there on the chip. I don't think that's correct. If you look at the 2181 datasheet page 2 table 3 it shows a +0.33% gain control tempco. You still need -0.33% to correct it. Also see equation 1 on pa...

Re: Entropy

I probably need to buy a new cheapo VOM,,, the new stuff has many useful features the old stuff didn't.. probably one IC inside. No ICs in the 260. EMP-proof. I do have one of those credit card-sized DVMs and recently cleaned the selector switch. Its one IC chip-on-board inside an epoxy blob.
