John sent me the Jensen Comtran information he had collected over the years and has also pointed out elsewhere the role of the input transformer as a bandpass/band limiting filter. Funny, there was just a thread on one of the tweaker forums about removing inductors from audio paths, mostly from broadcast gear, not being used in broadcast. Funny, there was just a thread on one of the tweaker forums about removing inductors from audio paths, mostly from broadcast gear, not being used in broadcast. I'm not sure that's a bad idea at all as long as you can put them back if you need them. If I were doing a layout using them I'd have a way...

I just bought a couple of the Coiltronics Versa Pac inductors.
