Re: smokin....
I think the other frozen salmon brand said product of china too. They address that pointing out that the regulations have to say that the country that processes the fish becomes the country of origin. So if its Alaskan Salmon shipped whole to China for processing it becomes Chinese Salmon. Still wh...

Re: smokin....
Canned Salmon has never bothered me. I think they don't need to add phosphates since its cooked, canned and doesn't have water loss from freezer burn. IMHO our use of Schwan's products caused a Phosphate intolerance we might not have otherwise had. BTW the meats at Rudolphs are old school dry-aged. ...

Re: smokin....
Sodium triphosphate (STP), also sodium tripolyphosphate (STPP), or tripolyphosphate (TPP) Yes. Destroys texture. Very nasty stuff that causes intestinal cramping in some people. Gave up Schwan's because of it. Every protein they sold had Phosphates. A lot of frozen fish is chock-full of it. Shrimp ...

Re: A Low Noise Balanced In Moving Coil Preamp Using the ZTX
Sorry I'm late to this party. Sometime back in mid-July I didn't view a post and the board stopped sending me notices. A lot has happened since. You would need at least 12x IF 3602 duals to get the same low noise!! So if you are looking for the lowest possible noise, the ZTX851 can’t be beaten. Very...

Probemaster Oscilloscope Probes and Test Leads
I wanted to share a link to http://www.probemaster.com I've been using Probemaster 'scope probes for about 10 years now and they've been very rugged. I do have to occasionally order replacement sprung hooks http://probemaster.com/3955-sprung-hook/ but other than normal wear and tear of the hooks the...

Re: A Low Noise Balanced In Moving Coil Preamp Using the ZTX
When I playback vinyl tones and look at the FFT I see a very simple harmonic structure consisting of second and third many orders of magnitude higher than the converter measuring them. Not too different from a single-ended 12AX7 going into soft overdrive. I think people underestimate the distortion'...

Re: A Low Noise Balanced In Moving Coil Preamp Using the ZTX
The reason I made the Phono Transfer System was to transfer all the "lost" old performances I had on vinyl to hard drive.
So I guess I'm on the fence.
What I found however is that I spend a lot more time listening to them than actually transferring.
I need an intern.
