The birth of "Prosumer Audio"? Or maybe its coming-of-age. Alesis's ADAT certainly helped Mackie's cause too, and vis-versa.
It's Digidesign that seems to be losing the plot nowdays...

Re: Hey, even the Chinese go out of business...
From the last paragraph it sounds like it's a be popular product line that's shutdown: The company warned that in addition to much lower 2009 net sales, it may not be able to comply with terms and conditions of its senior credit facility; may not have enough cash flow to meet its cash requirements; ...

Re: Looking for API Console dimensions...
Spoke to a friend in LA who has an old API. He's gonna pull the docs and see what's there. Out of interest, I asked him to get a part number for the female edge connectors that the eq plugs into. The connectors are unusual in that they are the dual-row type, but actually 'normal' (left pin-to-right ...

Looking for API Console dimensions...
Anyone have access to the docs to a full-size desk, or even a little 1608? I'm looking for the dimensions for the fader buckets, routing module buckets, and the meter buckets. I thought the fader plate length was the same as the Neve, but 1.5" wide instead of 1.8" (?)...

Re: FPGA Design...
Thanks guys. When I have time, I'll lash up a pulse generator, wire up a breadboard and see what happens...

Re: FPGA Design...
Since the charge injection is going to occur at a frequency equal to the timebase, wouldn't it be removed by the following low-pass filter stage anyway?

Re: FPGA Design...
True Wayne, but it's on/off time is 5u seconds. Or are you suggesting it as a variable resistor?

Re: FPGA Design...
Yep, it's PWM. I was trying to say that it's a simple application of it - no analog input or feedback to contend with, such as class 'D' or SMPS sort of apps. Just need steady pulse trains ... Another question for you - since I'm using it in a high-Z circuit (passive filter), is charge injection goi...

Re: FPGA Design...
I guess you would still call it PWM, but really all I need is a presettable pulse width output; no capture/compare capabilities, where I would think most of the processing overhead would be. That's why I was thinking array logic as opposed to a micro.
