A little extra water hammer from the momentum of water running downhill...
But if you don't have a video did it really happen?

Damn, that story with the ribs and lung is insane, really gives pause.
I may have shared it earlier in the year, but we had a freelance stage hand fall off a trailer onto concrete and break his hip. He jumped right up and hobbled around for awhile before the pain really set in, two of us trying to keep him from getting up or moving. It was obvious it was going to be bad.

As we get older we can become too complacent about ignoring pain...

here is today's burning tree installment
Still too heavy for me to lift, but getting closer.
That big chunk in front is root wood that has a lot of moisture and doesn't burn easy. But slow burn overnight is just fine

The "Burning Tree Festival" could really put Hickory, Mississippi on the map JR.
Sort of like a "Pecan Woodstock."
BTW Where's the pink and white tent?
Oh and I still think you should roast some chicken, salmon or something on it.

Burning my 100' tall cottonwood was a bigger/longer duration deal.
I cut a barbecue grill into it and grilled some chicken.
The pecan trunk will be completely gone in maybe a week... getting smaller every day.
I already did my food shopping for the week so probably won't grill (on) pecan this weekend.
Good suggestion tho..

I bet it smells good.
Makes me look forward to fall and a fire in the outside fireplace.
