I'm always complaining about over-processed, ultra-smashed, hyper-clipped, sound files.
An example of someone getting it right is the 2008 Death Cab for Cutie's Song "Cath..." ( http://www.amazon.com/Cath-Album-Versio ... sic&sr=1-1 )
I guess there may be hope for post -millennial music after all...
Statistics
I'll gladly accept 230 samples being clipped out of a few million.
I just have a problem when it's every sample after a polarity reversal.

Re: An Example of Good Level Control
I guess it's inevitable at some point for delivering dynamics to become a way to differentiate from the mainstream.

Re: An Example of Good Level Control
What I found so "odd" about this file was how normal it looked.
Being normal stands out these days I suppose.
