She's been living just outside my workbench window for the last few months.
Lots of babies expected soon just in time for Halloween.

I got a surprise finding one living by a rarely used exterior door knob yesterday. Impressive creatures.

while not that pretty, I have a huge web spanning the opening of my car port. I will leave him (it) alone until thurs when I need to drive my car.

This spider is timid,,, retreating to the ceiling every time I'm around.

She's been doing some more work on the web.
We're up on a second floor here above an unfinished basement so she's way up in the air.
Part of her web is attached to a make-shift longwire antenna.

Reminds me when I was replacing some siding on the house in Desoto.
As I was removing the old siding and started banging around with the hammer I saw lots of little spiders under the flashing repel down to see what was going on.
As soon as they saw I wasn't a threat they climbed back up.
When I started replacing material after a break they became curious again and did the same thing.
By the end of the day they'd blown me off and stopped looking.

She's still out there. I wonder where she'll go when we get a hard freeze.

She left the nest about 2 weeks ago. Guess I can finally clean the window.
