I like the NKK switches too. I use the larger LB series for a lot of stuff. I used the round KB series for my monitor controller.

I've also been meaning to check out the MK rotary switches. I have it from a reliable source that they are robust. They are tiny and fit in places most rotary switches won't. They are only 12 pos single deck. They can be configured from one to four poles.

Thanks Paul.
I have some of the MK and used them for my mic preamp tests.
One of them, checking the servo, required me to very rapidly switch from end to end.
They held up.
I think they're better than some of the Grayhills.

I should do a post on the LB-series.
I did the KB first since they use round bushings.
I used the LB on my P!c0 compressor build and liked them.

I checked the brightness levels of the NKK LEDs for the KK-series.

T-1 1/2 cylindrical red LED 633-AT635C https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/NK ... puVRHww%3d
T-1 1/2 cylindrical amber LED 633-AT635D https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/NK ... QHSXtcQ%3d
T-1 1/2 cylindrical green LED 633-AT635F https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/NK ... GE5UbfQ%3d

To my eyes 5 mA LED current was about right for the Red and Amber.
Green requires about 10 mA.
My recommendation for a general color is Amber.

YMMV so I would check them based on the lighting conditions in your studio before installing current-limiting LEDs.
