Re: Loft TS-1

Let me know what diameter the knob is. I may have a Siam knob I can spare.

Re: Merry Christmas

I'm late to the party but Merry Christmas. I just give gifts to my nice and nephew and a couple of cousins a generation after me because we celebrate Chanukah with them. I just got back from some time in the Adirondacks. It was beautiful as usual. On Christmas it was close to 70ºF and two days later...

Re: sous vide

I am a new convert to Trader Joe's frozen foods. Everything I've had so far has tasted like food. Not heavily processed and over salted. If they have them where you are I'd check it out.

Re: Hello - Anyone In Here?

but their target market was live and fixed instal not recording. The APB design team was responsible for Crest consoles, and several years after Peavey bought Crest, they left and formed their own console company. That makes more sense. Like you said, in the past five years plus I've never seen an ...

Re: Hello - Anyone In Here?

I took a look at those consoles. The analog console market is a high end only market, except for little mixers meant for stage use. The consoles they designed look like a 1990's project recording console. You can pick up consoles along those lines for pennies on the dollar. The API is attractive bec...

Re: Hello - Anyone In Here?

For click-less switching many modern devices switch coincident with zero crossings so the step function times 0v= 0v . I'm aware of IC solutions like the SSM2402 but no passive solutions like relay control or opto's ------- I see less and less value in digitally controlled analog, except perhaps as...

Re: Hello - Anyone In Here?

I bought the CMOS cookbook. I got halfway through the first chapter and gave up. That is about all I can contribute to this topic but I am keenly interested. There is no DIY "swiss army knife" expandable switching matrix boards available that I know of. I ended up using a pair Broadcast To...

Re: Single Stage Gives Logarithmic Gain Steps, EDN March 3,

I think this would be useful as an input to an O'scope used in XY as an audio monitor. It could maintain a constant display size regardless of input level. NTP did that with the little XY display meter they had in a Danner cassette format. I have the documentation for that somewhere. I'll try to dig...

Re: Residential Lighting with LEDs: Retrofitting the Pink Ra

I missed the majority of the thread but I have changed over both home and the studio to LED. I've been using the Philips 75W equivalents. I don't have a spare and I forget the model number. They have been great. I don't have them on dimmers but they dim. They are 2700K which is the warmest I've foun...

Re: Thinking of selling old records tapes.

I'd look for the used record store owner who is the closest to you. Have him come over and give you an estimate on the lot. You would have to have a lot of time and motivation if you want to sell them piecemeal.
