Stories You Couldn't Post In The Brewery

Relax in southern comfort on the east bank of the Mississippi. You're just around the corner from Beale Street and Sun Records. Watch the ducks, throw back a few and tell us what's on your mind.

We can debate what modern Ds actually are, but the reality is modern Ds are much closer to Reagan than modern Rs are.

Give me a break. Is ANTIFA far right? Are you saying that it is true that there were "Fiery but mostly peaceful protests"?
Probably talking about recent "studies" where the right are more responsible for violence as a whole...

wonder if this was included in the studies...I heard it was not...because if it weren't included, for whatever reason... that would be kinda weird....and questionable

I reject and repudiate those that say they want me and those like me dead.
I reject those that worship Satan and celebrate death and assassination.
I reject the murder of innocent babies from abortion.
I reject a two-tiered judicial system that favors the left.
I reject anyone that threatens to imprison me for refusing to take an injection.
I reject those that project their misdeeds onto whomever they disagree with.

Regardless of "team politics" those voices today are coming from the far left including numerous elected officials.
I reject them, their enablers and those that make excuses for them.

I don't use Grok or its ilk for much but I did this time.
I asked Grok to compare the property damage costs of left/right violence from 2020 to 2025.
Grok came up with a $2-3M estimate for the "right" - mostly January 6th - and $1-2B for the "left" mostly based on BLM George Floyd riot damage.

Grok also suggests that left/right violence pivoted left in 2025.
Leftist violence is clearly inorganic and organized.

Violence from the right appears to have been from isolated individuals.
J6 is an aberration: Those that died on J6 died at the hand of the government - the government instigated the violence.
The brainwashed viewers of mainstream media will argue this.

From Grok:
On January 6, 2021, during the attack on the U.S. Capitol, four people in the crowd died that day: Ashli Babbitt (shot by Capitol Police while attempting to breach a barricaded door), Rosanne Boyland (accidental amphetamine overdose), Kevin Greeson (heart attack due to cardiovascular disease), and Benjamin Phillips (stroke due to hypertensive heart disease). One additional death occurred the following day: Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick died of natural causes from two strokes, with the medical examiner noting that the events of the riot played a role in his condition. Thus, five people died in direct connection with the events of January 6.Four law enforcement officers later died by suicide in the days and months following the attack (Howard Liebengood on January 9, Jeffrey Smith on January 15, Kyle DeFreytag in July, and Gunther Hashida in July), bringing the total connected deaths to nine, though these are not classified as occurring "at" the event itself.
Boyland's death is attributed to an accidental amphetamine dose from ADHD meds but there are videos of her being beaten as she lay on the ground by Capitol Police officer: https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2021/0 ... 6th-video/

The crime stats that form the basis of this are questionable however due to the statistical manipulation by the left who have been in control for 16 of the last 25 years.

I have a neighbor a couple of blocks down that I befriended a number of years ago. He leans left.
Once he planted a headless cross in his front yard and started posting satanic shit online I avoided him.
He may agree with me on taxes but that no longer matters.

The mask is off now and we see these people clearly for who they really are.

And like Analog Joe I'm out. This is pointless...
I will never, never, never accept these people.
Never.

Soys To Men: The Democratic Party Is Hemorrhaging Males

Catchy title...

https://www.zerohedge.com/political/dem ... haging-men
Democrats today resemble a pack of lost puppies - unsure which direction to run: left, further left, or all the way into the radical fringe, where political violence and assassination culture is normalized, anti-American sentiment is celebrated, and socialism and Marxism are embraced. The original 'No Kings' protest was the election of Donald Trump, in which the American people rejected the globalists running the White House, the Biden-Harris regime, who pushed nation-killing policies, such as open borders, despised masculinity, and promoted all things woke.

Yet Democrats haven't corrected course to what lost them the election. Instead, they've quadrupled down on wokeness, transgender ideology, socialism, illegal aliens, and everything the majority of Americans voted against with the election of Trump. And here we are, fast approaching the first anniversary of Trump's election victory, as Democrats rally behind "Commie Mamdani," the far-left NYC mayoral candidate poised to become the city's next mayor.

The result of quadrupling down on all things woke, as explained by John MacGhionn in an op-ed for The Hill, is that "the Democratic Party is hemorrhaging men."
The Democrat Party treats masculinity like a disease and common sense as a threat.
Young men are DONE being treated as the enemy in our own country.
The modern Democrat (Liberal) Man...

Now He Tells Us: Bill Gates Backflips and Says ‘Climate Change’ No Threat to Humanity After All

https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2025 ... after-all/
Why are people panicking about the weather? Climate doomer Bill Gates thinks everyone should just calm down. He believes “climate change” is a serious problem but it won’t be the end of humanity as we know it, a 17-page memo released Tuesday by the billionaire reveals.
So the "smartest people" in the Brewery were conned once again. Shocker...

I do not consider myself a left or right wing. I am a total pragmatist, and if I think something is right for me then it is right for me, and I don't care where it comes from.

I hope the idiots in charge where I live take note of one of their gurus, namely Mr Gates.

Our residents parking permit is doubled. Because, apparently, the Glasgow City Council takes emissions into account as we use petrol car (even though it is only a year old and fully compliant). I am thinking, what the eff has emissions got to do with me parking my car outside my door. Car is not driving?

The entire city is turned upside down with roadworks with the introduction of cycle lanes but with reduction of motor vehicle lanes. I pay the road tax. Cyclists pay nothing but use the roads that I pay for.

They plonked metal bicycle sheds in our street, reducing the number of parking lots available to us, yet the cost of parking permit is doubled.

Glasgow's architecture is based on what is called tenements (though I know that it has totally an opposite meaning in the US). Every tenement has its own bin shelter. Now, the city council is doing away with these bin shelters and introducing bins out on our street, and guess where they will be located. On the parking lots of course. Resulting in further reduction of parking lots.

We have no rat or pest problem with our bins. Yet, with the bins placed out on the street rats started to run a riot. More to that, the city council accepts that the rats will be attracted to the bins, hence they are boasting proudly that the bins are fitted with rat traps. What an improvement.

These are all done in the name of going green.

There are a lot of things that I do not agree with President Trump. But yes to "common sense".

Gates is resposible for the biggest electronics scrapheap ever made , wars over resources all over the planet are a requirement to make this happen ,warmonger is a more appropriate term for Gates , philanthropist my ass .
You can argue for/against climate change but the reality is , we as a species are consuming and waisting resources faster than ever before .

https://ourworldindata.org/co2-emissions
The first graph here is interesting , especially the Map view ,
America has spent the vast majority of the time at the top of the list, only topped in around 2017 by China .
The picture post WW2 gets way worse .

Tubetec buddy, this is not a fair comment. If we are able to communicate on this platform this is also (partly) because of Bill Gates. His philanthropy is also a different matter. I am sure he is putting a lot of money back into society. Andrew Carnegie once said 'a man who dies rich dies in disgrace', yet in business he would destroy anybody who stood on his path. So, I think we have to be extremely careful in separating these two.

I have not searched for the statistics, but from what I see at the two local civic amenities that I use (aka "the dump") PCs are next to nothing in comparison to the TV monitors. It is insane. The monitors the size of my bloody car and mountains of them What a waste.

It is the consumer electronics industry as a whole that is responsible for the scrapheap. Drive for the cheaper, cheaper and cheaper. A very good, recent example is the guitar amplifiers I have been given (by the way I got another three). The DSP boards have gone straight in the bin as repairing them can take many days, if I they can be repaired at all. Whereas, we can even get in and out of an analogue circuit in minutes sometimes.

I read on the paper the other day that one million Pounds public money injected into wind energy sector creates only one job. I have not even got to what happens to the waste of turbine blades or the "carbon footprint" that the manufacturing leaves behind.

That does not mean I am against wind farming. But what really annoys me (mildly put) is the hypocrisy of the whole going green.

By the way, another event sparked an outcry and unearthed something that we, the general public were not aware of before. A (happens to be Turkish) girl in London was spot fined for £100 on the street for pouring her coffee into the drain. She of course hit back and the fine was cancelled. More cases started to unearth. One woman was approached by the city council Stasi while she was walking her dog and asked to prove that she had waste bags with her. She said that her dog already did its poo and she already used the bag for it and she was heading home. Yet, she was fined for £100 for not having waste bags with her. This is where we are now with the green hysteria.
